The technical department of Mystic is responsible for the technical supervision, superintendence, maintenance and attendance of dry dockings and repairs necessary to achieve the maximum efficiency of the vessels under management.  It is one of the company’s largest departments in terms of employees.

Its experienced and highly qualified superintendent engineers labor to ensure that each vessel’s hull, machinery and equipment is more than adequately monitored and maintained so as to render an immaculate performance. 

It is in the culture of Mystic to proactively take measures that will maintain the vessel’s hulls, machinery and equipment in full compliance with the requirements and recommendations of the Classification Societies, the applicable laws and regulations of the country of registry of the vessel, and of the places where she trades, and with the industries highest standards so as to provide high quality transportation services.

 

 

The Safety & Quality department (S & Q Dept.) as the name suggests, is the department responsible for the safety on board the vessels, pollution prevention, environmental management, and the provision of quality services in every respect.  

In detail, the S & Q Dept. follows up all developments related to International rules and regulations, and industry requirements on safety, quality, and the environment so as to constantly maintain and update the necessary procedures and to issue and update the relevant instructions manuals that are shared with the shore based and shipboard personnel for training, familiarization and compliance purposes. 

In addition, its Marine Superintendents visit the vessels regularly and in co-operation with the Superintendent Engineers from the technical department continuously audit the onboard procedures so as to ensure that the vessels and the crews comply with all national and international rules and regulations, that the maintenance of their hulls and equipment progresses smoothly and that they are approved by the vetting departments of all major oil companies and large scale trade houses.
